What if my parents and I like different poses?

No problem! We don't limit your pose choice, and we don't force you to take poses you don't want.

When will I see my portraits?

They'll be ready for you to View & Choose in about 10 days. To aid you in the selection of your portrait images, you will view and choose your images in our studio. This is an important investment, so please be sure all the decision makers are present for this viewing. There is no charge for this appointment, however extra viewing appointments may generate extra charges.

A word to the wise: When you make your reservation to be photographed, please be sure to reserve your View & Choose date, too! By July or August, trying to schedule a timely View & Choose appointment can be next to impossible, and it may be a couple of months before we can squeeze you in. Plan ahead! Make your reservations and schedule other activities around them! Rescheduling can greatly delay your finished portraits.

Can I afford Van Winkle's Creative Images?

Definitely! You buy only what you want; spend only what you want to spend. There are no minimums. Buy a little or buy a lot--either way you get what you like! Need an exact quote? Tell us what you want, and we'll tell you exactly how much.

Can someone be with me during the session?

You're going to want to be as relaxed as possible for the session. What makes you comfortable is your call, but having someone watch you can sometimes make you a little self-conscious. Whatever you do, we prefer no more than one guest at a time.

What do I wear and bring?

We put special effort into helping you prepare for your photography session. When you reserve a session time, you'll receive a packet full of tips & recommendations on everything from clothing to hair, nails & even tattoos!

Can I do a variety of expression?

Absolutely! We really like variety. No one is always smiling or always serious...there are lots of looks in between! We think serious expressions are especially cool-looking in black & white. If you want all smiles, let us know. We're flexible. 'Cause in the end, it's all about you loving how you look!

What if I don't like my portraits?

At Van Winkle's Creative Images, we're committed to excellence. So much planning and time goes into meeting your needs that we rarely have an unhappy client. However, if you're not satisfied with your images, please let us know. We'll make it right!

When should I make my reservation?

The perfect time is now! The sooner you contact us, the better. No matter when you want to be photographed, you should make your reservation NOW, then schedule the rest of your summer around it.

What if the school says I have to use their photographer?

Well, it depends. Most schools don't care where you go to have your senior portraits created as long as the photograph meets their specifications and arrives on time. GIVE US YOUR SCHOOL'S SPECS & WE'LL TAKE CARE OF THE REST. However, remember that every school is different. Some put out letters saying that you have to use their photographer (or they imply it), but when it really comes down to it, you can go wherever you want. Other schools really are strict. Call us at (434) 577-2719 for details.
